living walls 2021

artist residencies spring 2021

In the spring of 2021 I worked with the Jewish Day School in Allentown, PA and Wilson, Williams and Avona Elementary schools in Easton, PA. Working with the entire student body of each school we created four completely unique felted living walls that hang at their school. The Fiber Living Wall program focuses on hands on art making that highlights fine motor skills, perseverance and community. Every single student made work through this program that was then combined into one cohesive final piece, emphasizing collaboration in art. Working together with the schools and the incredible art teachers at each school, we were able to complete these programs within the covid safety guidelines. These residences were sponsored by Artsquest and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
